Vocations

A person who asks to join the congregation desires to give herself entirely to God, to be united with Jesus Christ and to serve him in her brothers and sisters in an apostolic religious congregation. This is her response to a call which she senses within her.

To live our vocation as a Sister of Saint Mary, it is important to have these qualities:

A candidate who wishes to discern her vocation among us will be directed above all to the Gospel of Christ while she learns of our way of life, our mission, and our constitutions.

The length of the candidacy varies from six months to two years. The novitiate lasts two years. The time of temporary profession ordinarily lasts six years.

By perpetual religious profession of chastity, poverty and obedience the sister gives her whole life to God, and the Church unites her offering to that of Jesus Christ offered totally to the Father for his glory and for the salvation of the world.

Constitutions

The sisters of the congregation consecrated by vows, welcome other types of association, as ways of sharing our charism and spirituality with the people of God. These associations are defined in each Province.
